FRIDA MOM

“Stream of Lactation”

Care for your breasts, not just your baby

New motherhood is very rarely #blessed. Between 3am feedings, sore bodies, and the anxiety of keeping a squishy new human alive, emotions are all over the place. But mainstream media rarely talks about the reality.

Our own Rachel Carlson knows this first hand, and wrote and creative directed “Stream of Lactation" based on what she needed to see during her own complicated experience with breastfeeding. So, when Frida Mom wanted to launch a new breast feeding line, it featured nothing but the complex reality.

The spot debuted on NBC’s Golden Globes, becoming the first-ever lactating nipple on network TV. Moms everywhere felt seen, and swore loyalty to Frida. It ran exactly once, and was a media sensation. It was covered everywhere from The New York Times, to international press — and even joked about on Saturday Night Live.
